INTERVIEWS

I have am grateful for each conversation that someone wants to have
with me in relation to the work I do with the Christian Bible.

Below are some of my favorite such interviews.

This conversation, "A Feminist Pulpit," with friends from seminary was a highlight of 2021 for me: thoughtful people giving honest perspectives on the power and importance of representation

in the pulpit and honoring scripture to boot. Take a listen!

"In the first episode of our new series, we'll examine the Bible and explain what it is, what it's not, and share our favorite - and least favorite - translations. Plus, an eye-opening conversation with Bible scholar and author Dr. Jennifer Bird, our Heretic of the Week."

Kara Haug is creating spaces for honest and healthy conversations about sex and sexuality for teenage people in Churches. What an honor to have a conversation with her about what the Bible does and does not say on these topics and why we need to look beyond just the Bible on this one.

Yet another conversation with Derek Lambert on MythVision. I have such a good time chatting with him, and the people who follow him are genuinely intellectually engaged. Spoiler: Paul was not a Christian, in spite of what most Christians believe. Check it out!

MythVision Podcast: Marriage in the Bible

Don't be thrown by the name! I had a delightful conversation with Neal about select biblical passages and some of his favorite parts from Permission Granted.

My second conversation with Derek Lambert was about marriage in the Bible. We went live and took questions at the end. It is over 2 hours long, and we had a delightful exchange, once again!

My very first podcast interview is still one of my favorites, thanks to my Vanderbilt colleague, David Dault.  His gracious interview style put me at ease and the content and purpose of my book got to shine through. His podcast continues to flourish and I am pleased to be among those interviewed by TNS.

What a rich and engaging conversation Callid Keefe-Perry and I had that day as he interviewed me regarding Permission Granted! Check out the link for some inspiring and heady content!
